COCOA BEACH CHILD PSYCHOLOGY FAQ

Are you currently accepting new patients?

We are always accepting new patients for evaluations and diagnosis, but we are not accepting new patients for therapy or counseling.

Do you have a waitlist?

We do not have an active waitlist, instead we schedule your intake, even if it is months out, to ensure you have a spot on our schedule.

How can I get my intake appointment moved up?

When your intake is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to our new patient paperwork. As soon as that is submitted back to us, we flag the file that it is ready to be moved up in the event of a cancellation.

If I am self-paying client, will I get moved up faster?

No, we do not choose which client gets moved up based on payment type.

Is telehealth a quicker wait than in person?

No, the wait is the same. We offer both options for your comfort.

Do you accept any of the state insurance?

Currently, We only accept private insurance. See our New Patients tab for which insurance we accept.

Do you only work with children?

We see ages as young as one year-old and as old as 20 years old.

Can you diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder?

This is our clinic’s specialization. We are able to give you an official diagnosis that can help you access therapies and different schools.

Do you only see children that may have Autism Spectrum Disorder?

No, we evaluate all kinds of children for all different reasons. Please contact our office to learn more.

Can your clinic prescribe medication for my child?

We do not have a psychiatrist on staff, so we are unable to prescribe medication. Please see our Resources tab for who we recommend.

Why are you scheduled so far out?

We only have one doctor on staff that is able to give diagnoses, Dr. Pawich. She works tirelessly to ensure that our clients are seen as soon as possible.
